How to copy text from a QR code
When you copy an image or an image file, ClipBook looks for QR codes in it. If it finds one, you can copy the link or text the QR code contains without scanning it with your phone.
To copy the text from a QR code, select the image in your clipboard history and do one of the following:
- Click the Copy Text from QR Code button in the toolbar.
- Right-click the image and select Copy Text from QR Code.
- Open the Command Palette and select Copy Text from QR Code.
- In the preview dialog, click the Copy Text from QR Code button in the toolbar.
ClipBook copies the text to the clipboard, so you can paste it anywhere.
This action appears only for images that contain a QR code. If the image has several QR codes, ClipBook copies the text of all of them, each on its own line.
Find images by QR code text
The text from QR codes is searchable. Type a part of it in the search field to find the image. See How to find images with specific text.
This feature is available in ClipBook 2.1.1 and later. Images you copied before you installed this version are not scanned.
